Harpenden Cavaliers, are basing their 2018 tour in Colchester, from 15-17 June 2018. They are still looking for a 40ov/timed games on Saturday 16 June. This will be their 20th tour, having previously been all over the UK, and they invariably get invited back, which must be a good sign! They play competitive cricket but in a great spirit, and always put plenty of cash behind their hosts' bars.
If you can accommodate during this weekend, please contact Fraser Tant, Harpenden Club Captain
I have been asked by Karachi Gymkana to try and organise 3 fixtures for them between Sunday 8th July and Thursday 12th July 2018 whilst they are touring down at this end of Essex. Frinton entertained them 2 years ago and we have agreed to host them on Wednesday 11th July, so they require 2 other games between these dates. They are of a decent standard cricket wise and very sociable. As they are in Pakistan at the moment, if a Club is interested, please contact myself on 07432 689935.

Everyone from Eight Ash Green CC would like to say a huge thank you to all the clubs and local community for all their help & support!
We were inundated with messages of support from locals and other cricket clubs such as: Gt Totham, Kelvedon & Elmstead CC. But special thanks must go to Copford Cricket Club who had a collection at their youth training on Saturday and raised £100 for repairs! Picture El Presidenté with James Wilson from Copford CC.
Parkers Pitches have also kindly donated some supplies for the repairs!
Again thank you so much,
From everyone at Eight Ash Green
We have just received some great news that our Pavilion Redevelopment Project has been shortlisted in the Colchester Borough Council’s Big Choice scheme – see link - http://www.colchester.govuk/bigchoice
We are one of 8 projects on the larger project list to receive 4 grants of £20,000 – so we have a 50-50 chance!
It all however comes down to a public vote – similar to the Aviva fund – with voting opening today and ending on Friday 10th March.
Only residents of the Colchester Borough can vote and this is controlled by the voting process where you have to select your address from a dropdown menu via a postcode.
I have checked and you can register more than one vote from the same address, up to 5 in fact, so people should be able to vote a number of times using all of their families names and addresses. There is no age limit so all children, however old, can vote aswell with the same email address.
Please share the link on your Facebook and Twitter feeds and however else you think will help us get votes. More often than not it is best to share the voting link with friends on an instant messaging service (Whatsapp / Messenger / IMessage) so they simply click on the link on their phone and vote straightaway.

Many thanks in anticipation of your support
